No — never. There is no call-out charge. You pay for the time and parts needed to fix the problem, agreed upfront before any work starts.
Most repairs are £85–£150 including diagnosis, labour, and standard parts. We give you a fixed price after diagnosing the fault — never a ballpark that ends up doubling.
If your boiler is under 10 years old, repair is almost always better value. If it's 12+ years old or has had repeated breakdowns, we'll give you an honest comparison of repair vs. new boiler costs — with no pressure either way.
We clean the heat exchanger, check the burner, flue, gas pressure and flow rate, test all safety devices, and check for leaks. You'll get a written service record immediately. The whole visit takes about 45–60 minutes.
Yes. We're Gas Safe registered and issue CP12 certificates on the same visit. We can combine the safety check with an annual service for £130 — saving you £20 and booking two engineers into one visit.
